what National Day Is It Today

World Vegetarianism Day October 1

We are going to share today is what national day ? The vegetarian movement groups people whose food practices exclude the consumption of animal flesh for a variety of reasons. World Vegetarianism Day is celebrated on October 1 all around the world.

For some vegetarians it will simply be health, for others of religion or culture, for a third category (finally, the most militant it seems), to pass vegetarianism will mean the adoption of a general criticism of the modern food supply, its traceability, animal husbandry and slaughter conditions, access to foodstuffs or the environmental impact of production methods. It takes everything to make a world, except animal products!

Joy and Compassion

This world day comes straight from the United States. It was originally decided in 1977 by the North American Vegetarian Society (NAVS) to develop joy, compassion and promote life (sic). From 1978, the World Vegetarian Day was adopted by the International Vegetarian Union.

Vegetarianism and health

This day is, of course, an opportunity to remind people of too often killed evidence: we eat too many meats, too many meats, too rich and too fat, and it is harmful to our health!
